OPEN LETTER TO LADIES


Moment of introspection. This is strictly for matured girls and women. They say women and ladies and girls like to form. It is good. The wisdom of it is to know when to throw your formality in the waste basket. There is this bad thing about some ladies: always playing hard to get. You should stop it, so that you don't cry silently at the end. The world is becoming more advanced everyday. Gone are the days when men fight because of women. The world has more than enough women now. Delete the old school mentality. If a guy approaches you that he wants a relationship, if you love him, don't pretend. Accept his proposal and move on in the relationship. That does not mean you are cheap. It means you are real and sincere. Anyone who thinks you are cheap because a guy speaks to you in a day and you said YES in the same day is stupid. Why postpone what you love? Postponing a proposal and playing hard-to-get does not make you a saint or a responsible person. Likewise, accepting on the spot does not make you cheap and irresponsible. If you accept him and you find out that he is not responsible, delete him from your life. It is so simple. Many women are still single today because dem too dey form. Let down your wings. There is no crime in being human. When your prince comes to you, don't chase him away because of ignorance, because of pride, because you want to appear like an angel. If you want to be an angel, please go to heaven. That is where angels live. There is no benefit in playing hard to get. You'll only do it to your own detriment. And wait, where was it written that only men should 'toast'? You are free to woo a man if you love him. Tradition has spoilt the life of many people. There are some traditions that should be changed or totally abolished. It is only a foolish army that will go to war with cutlasses in this century of highly-sophisticated and dangerously-complex machine guns and atomic bombs. Una hear me? Make una no dey form again, abeg. All animals are equal. Some of you are shouting feminism and yet, you can't walk up to a guy and say I love you. If that man does not toast you, go ahead and toast him. Pay his groom price and drag him to your house and start having sex and bearing children. Didn't God say be fruitful and multiply?

After returning from an invigorating dance arena at the Education love garden, a curious Kunle asked Taiwo, his ne'er calm friend why he was in the habit of liking his own Facebook posts. Taiwo laughed uproariously and the walruses in the jungle shivers with delight.
