Buhari on his nomadic voyage

Image
Femi Adesina and Garba Sheu (buhari's publicists) are not doing enough. Just like Nigeria's PHCN, they have succeeded in keeping us in the dark on any progress made by this present government. And Buhari himself will not stop wandering about like a Fulani nomad. If after six months (1/8 of his tenure), BUHARI has not found his destination, shame on him. Baba, in my opinion, can steer this ship away from the looming storm, but he'll have to sit. Just because he is Fulani does not justify his nomadic voyage.

Buhari's fleet of flights

When Buhari claimed to have ordered his administration to dispose some of the aircrafts, Garba denied claim of such directive. One big thing with this administration is deceit. Saying one thing and the next minute is denying it.

Boaz and her Ruth

Image
Your Boaz should NOT be just about good looks, a nice smile, smooth words, nice job and car, muscular build, fashionable clothes, big connections, etc. If he does have all that, great! But that is NOT what you should be looking for. If you want to recognize the guy that God is sending you, you must think like God. How does God choose? Let’s look at what God said to Samuel when He was selecting a king for Israel. “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (I Samuel 16:7) Same goes for all Ruth. Your Ruth should not be about the backside. It's shouldn't be about how big her assets are. The curves shouldn't be the priority. If she does have all, great! But that is not what you should be looking for. Do not look at her appearance or physique. Raquel Jacobs

Nigeria remains the most dependable gateway to Africa

Image
At the millennium, there were just 200,000 internet users in Nigeria, but by last year that figure had already reached 70 million. As my urbane and fully connected colleague, Obi Asika, likes to say: “Kenya and other connected countries like Rwanda and South Africa may be a gateway into Africa, but Nigeria is the destination.” Ken Saro Wiwa

‪#‎ BusyBeauty‬ &Brains... "Classy", "Chic", "Clubber", "100% social", "Bad", "Promiscous", "party rider" and the likes is the first thought that comes to many especially non-Akokites, when they see or hear of a typical unilag babe. Now, I'm not denying the existence of these species in the school of first choice. In fact over time, they've become more sophisticated and more promiscuous and 'badder'. But as they improve in what they know how to do best, a new species emerged- not like they never existed all along, they just were in trace amounts. These newbies weren't and aren't just pretty and having their sense of class, they are smart- outright smart and they prove that in their classy Grade Points. But then, the story doesnt end there. Lately, the newest version of the brand evolved. These babes aren't just hot and smart or rather 'Beauty and Brains' like we call the

Akerele Gabriel to Emmanuel Osakue on his birthday

He's that one dude in the #Chirals you don't wanna mess with, espoused to his studies that he took his abode in the corners and hinges of the EDU lib during his undergraduate days in UNILAG. He's one smart guy that can tell the story of his Bsc.Ed  journey with utmost pride of success earned through Hard-work... Ijeoma as fondly called by me when I want to see his other side he's a patriot. Yea, the niggur is loyal to boyhood and will never sly. Highly innovative, ask the Chirals planners... Bossy and bullish, ask Obosikoko... Very Very Smart, ask anyone in the Chirals. Seyive could tell how foody he is. Fun to be with, Uchez, Sir T, Kelvin, GB+, Kayzed  et al will tell you. Coach Kale will testify to his rebellious spirit. Emma does not follow rules. We celebrate a very handsome, matured man with class... I remember how a handful of CMS & JAGUNMOLU girls were craving for his attention during our internship, My proud TP partner displayed high level of professionalis

You are my worst distraction, Kunle cries out.

I have always been an ardent supporter of this memorable saying; "a man's heart will never be complete without a woman's love". I have always echoed this often said biblical quote at marriage venues; "he who finds a mate has found a good thing".  I have always said it; "being single is not a human attribute justifying it with Adam and Eve's creation story" How myopic i was! i was wrong, very wrong, very very wrong. All of those were not meant for the ever ambitious youth. Having a girlfriend or boyfriend in your younger years is like towing a lorry to a range-rover. It is simply "carrying an extra responsibility you're not physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually matured to carry". At this juncture, you don't think straight, your sense of judgment is clouded, you are biased, sentimental, confused and last of all, DISTRACTED Ever since my late adolescent, i have been involved, and now in my early twenties; i ca

The glamorous nudity on the red carpet

Image
One day, the river will overflow, bukola elemide (ASA) said, and there will be no place for us to go. If we remain onlookers(sitted on the fence) in the battle to clean the society of its indecency, immorality, cankerous sexuality, addicted pornography, flamboyant display of nudity, shameless incest(prominent among cousins) and salacious digestion of erotic stories in the newspapers, magazines and the web pages; our long held values, morals and virtues will be gone in an eye twinkle. The popular argument that the West ripped Africa of its dress sense is unacceptable. Save us oh Lord from the daughters of the phillistines and the children of Delilah. Kunle Adegunoye

A man of Steel and gold is hard to find

Image
If a man is good, stud-like and the wife knows no frigility, you could still hear rumblings from the bed chamber if all the man has on offer is romance not fully and adequately backed with finance. Throw open this topic among women and they will, in one voice, chorus that romance and finance go 2gether. Whatever definition romance gets depends then on individual tastes and capacity.  And, like a female colleague voluntered 'even if he is blind and ugly in superlative terms, he will still find wives in excess if he is loaded in his bank accounts[and in bed]. The latter is in parenthesis because according to her, 'any fool can ride a horse and ride well.' Egypt last Pharaoh, Cleopatra, had so many choices, but she went for Julius Caesar and later Mark Anthony- men of means, power and fame. And she got both imprisoned in her bosom till their very end.  Today's daily desecration of the family should be of great interest and concern to the conscientious in d society. In

The abundance that caught my eye

Image
The very first time i saw u, told Gideon a friend of how radiant u were in a yellow top. He replied saying, 'that's a no go area'. I laughed the the first time i saw u laughed. It was later i got to know it was an infection.  Your dark smooth skin in contrast to your well formed white teeth was not what attracted u to me, it was your calmness and grace that did the magic. School boys things, i tried very much to hide my feelings only for Chinedu  to tell me of my non-composure at your sight. In definition, i cannot fathom, but one thing is sure this is love. Diary of a loner.

Omoyibo otega on his birthday

Image
"if wishes were horses, beggars would ride". It's no gainsaying OMOYIBO deserved better than class of 15 plethora giant of wishes. Moments like these, in my opinion, should be treasured and celebrated in such a way that the celebrant will reminisce about it in years to come. Pardon my short term memories, I know not about anyone in this class who has not been a beneficiary of Otega's benevolence. Forgivable it won't, if we're waiting for the class social committee to duly and dutifully recognise him. So, I beseech us to appreciate him personally,   privately and deservedly. I already reserved a page for you in my first autobiography titled "Unilag  Cresol; a derivative of a congenial isomer" to be serialised on social media by November. Lest I disengage from the public ritual of cogent, yet monumental birthday accolades, happy birthday bro. Many more years of unparalleled longevity. You will last like first bank. Wa pe fun wa.

One day, I'll write about this place

Unilag Cresol; a derivative of a congenial isomer. One day, I'll write about this place - Kunle Adegunoye. Even after leaving you , I dare not compare you to any other. From the front gate through the Senate building to the back gate, your serenity describes a genuine tranquility. I was a bit baffled when Akokites regard you as the school of first choice and nation's pride. I thought it was normal for them to bask in the ephemeral euphoria of having their education in Nigeria's first University established by the Act of Parliament. Time and again, you have made bold the claim of superiority to others. In my four years here from 2011 to 2015, you twice led the table of Nigerian universities according to NUC. Not only were you "first choice", you taught others how to be first in everything. Our first pride in you was the unilag radio, 103.1 established in 2004. When others saw and started making efforts to achieve the set feat, you moved a step ahead to havi

Gabriel eulogies to Yetunde on her birthday celebration

Image
Firstly, I want to make a promise I hope not to fulfil; that until my fingers get full permission from my brain to clicka on the "send" button I shall post no further. However, right now am typing with the tips of my heart not fingers. Today is very significant in all of our lives, me especially. Every member of this great class of people with diverse traits n attributes have in whatever way benefited from the wealth of Yetunde's  aura. I talk of a lady readily made up with the most beautiful smile she never needs the services of face painters to step out, always proudly dressed in a simple elegant manner that portray decency cum beauty that arrest the gaze of all 3 legged humans around. Am always proud of my association with her (the best I have had) because her sophistication is not in the vain material things the naira notes can buy. Without all of the Brazilian hair, LBDs, high heels n iPhone 9+. Yetunde still come out top of the list of most sought ladies. Opule
